Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Sumit is the Founder and Managing Partner of Software Growth Partners, a firm that helps high-potential software companies grow, scale their operations, and build strong teams. Sumit serves as Chairman of Netreo and Venio and sits on the board of Appsian. He is also a Senior Adviser to Vonzeo Capital.

With more than 20 years in the software industry, Sumit has held leadership roles across operations, strategic finance, venture investing, and engineering. Most notably, he served as President of Cleo Communications, where he led a rapid transformation and growth plan that ended in a successful exit.

Sumit earned an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley and a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (BHU).
